Communications Minister Sharma directs increment of capital expenditure

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has directed the Ministry subordinate bodies to enhance their capital expenditure capacity.

She asked them to deliver in a way to meet the target. “The target milestone should be achieved. There are reasons for the capital not being spent. We must seriously review them,” she said while addressing a meeting to review the third quarter progress report of the Ministry organised here today.

She urged all for becoming serious about achieving the target. “It requires a clear plan to achieve the target of capital expenditures.”

Similarly, the National Planning Commission member Dr Jayakanta Raut stressed the need for adopting the culture of coordination and cooperation for increasing capital expenditure.

The Ministry Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut directed chiefs of the attending bodies to focus on increasing capital expenditure and revenue collection, and clearing the arrears.
