Concerted efforts must to curb corruption: President Bhandari
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called all sides concerned to extend support and wage activism from their sides to eliminate corruption from society and establish good governance.
Addressing a function organized by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on its 32nd anniversary in the federal capital today, President Bhandari viewed corruption could be controlled with concerted efforts of political leadership, Commission and administrative leadership.
“Corruption is a crime against state. It is sheer hindrance to country’s progress and sustainable development, so all state mechanisms must be united to control and eliminate corruption,” she underscored. The President further argued as the corruption has direct link to irregularity in service delivery, draining out of state coffers, cause of conflict and blot to international image, it must be rooted out from the society and country.
However, for curbing corruption, all need to be honest, moral and of high integrity.
