Corruption Case Filed Against Electronics Overseer at Federal Parliament Building

A corruption case has been filed against Jeevan Prasad Adhikari, an Electronics Overseer at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission brought the case to a special court on Sunday, alleging that Adhikari secured his position with a forged educational certificate.

The complaint prompting the investigation alleged that Adhikari’s educational credentials were falsified. Authorities determined that he obtained his position by presenting a counterfeit certificate claiming he had earned a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institution of Engineers in Kolkata, India.

Adhikari’s actions are deemed corrupt under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059, with authorities registering a case seeking imprisonment and fines as per subsection (1) of section 16.
