CPN-UML Commitment: ‘No House Obstruction Today’

CPN-UML has pledged not to impede the proceedings of the House of Representatives during today’s session. This decision comes in response to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha’s assurance to address queries related to the ongoing gold smuggling case.

To reach this consensus, a joint discussion was held among the top leaders of the three major political parties at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar. During the meeting, it was mutually agreed upon to facilitate the smooth functioning of the House, setting a cooperative tone among the parties.

Home Minister Shrestha is scheduled to present his statement before the House of Representatives during the 3 pm session today. With the commitment from CPN-UML to refrain from obstructing the proceedings, it is hoped that the parliamentary session will progress constructively, allowing for the necessary discussion on the gold smuggling case and other pressing matters.
