Dalai Lama Expresses Deep Sadness Over Earthquake in Tibet

Tibetan spiritual leader the 14th Dalai Lama has expressed his profound sadness following the devastating earthquake that struck Dingri in Tibet this morning. The earthquake, which caused significant loss of life and numerous injuries, also left widespread destruction in its wake.

In a message posted on his official website, the Dalai Lama conveyed his sorrow over the disaster, stating, “I am deeply saddened to learn of the devastating earthquake that struck Dingri in Tibet and the surrounding regions this morning. It has resulted in the tragic loss of many lives, numerous injuries, and extensive destruction to homes and property.”

He further offered his prayers for the victims, saying, “I offer my prayers for those who have lost their lives and extend my wishes for a swift recovery to all who have been injured.”

The Dalai Lama’s message reflects the deep concern felt by many in the wake of the earthquake’s tragic toll on the region.
