Deuba Calls for Government Action to Protect Nepali Workers Abroad

Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the importance of addressing the rights of Nepalis working abroad.

Inaugurating the 12th general convention of the Democratic Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs, a well-wishing organization of the party, today, NC President Deuba urged the government to take concrete steps to rescue Nepalis who have been defrauded while seeking foreign employment.

“I am aware that Nepalis aspiring to work abroad have faced hassles and fraud. They are being exploited. Therefore, I urge the government to put an end to their exploitation,” stated the NC President, emphasizing the government’s need to take workers’ problems seriously, given their significant contribution to Nepal’s remittance.
