Doctor Assaulted Again, KMC Hospital Sees Protests
Doctor Manish Khadka, an intern at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, became the victim of a assault. The incident unfolded when relatives of a patient, who had come to the hospital’s OPD for treatment at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, attacked Dr. Khadka.
According to witnesses, the relatives were infuriated by having to wait for the doctor, who had briefly stepped out. Upon his return, they unleashed a physical assault on Dr. Khadka, citing their frustration with the wait.
Two individuals, identified as Rupak Gautam and Saroj Gautam, originally from Gulmi but currently residing in Kathmandu, have been detained by the police in connection with the assault on the doctor.
Following the assault, doctors at KMC Hospital have initiated protests outside the facility. This incident comes just a day after an agreement was reached between protesting doctors and the government, resulting in the suspension of their previous protest activities.
