Elon Musk Declares Himself an “Alien”
In a startling and humorous revelation, billionaire Elon Musk declared himself an “alien” during his recent virtual appearance at the Viva Tech event in Paris. When questioned by the presenter about rumors of his extraterrestrial origins, the SpaceX and Tesla Chief laughed and replied, “I am an alien. Yeah, I keep saying I’m an alien, but nobody believes me.” This candid moment occurred during a session titled “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Elon Musk But Were Afraid to Ask,” inspired by the title of a Woody Allen movie.
Musk, who was attending the event virtually due to his son’s graduation, spoke on various topics, including the existence of aliens on Earth. “People often ask me do I think aliens are on Earth, I have not seen any evidence of aliens. If I did, I would post it (the evidence) on the X platform,” Musk stated, adding, “Maybe we’re alone in this galaxy, maybe it’s just us and our consciousness is extremely fragile.”
The discussion also delved into SpaceX’s ambitious goals and the future of humanity. Musk emphasized the necessity of making life multi-planetary, highlighting the urgency of this endeavor. “SpaceX’s long-term goal is to make life multi-planetary. We need to become a sustainable multi-planet civilization. This is the first time in the history of the Earth when it is possible to do so. That capability might be only open for the short term,” he explained.
Musk warned of potential existential threats to life on Earth, advocating for the colonization of Mars and the Moon. “Something on Earth will eliminate life as we know it on Earth,” he said, stressing that “our long-term survival and consciousness” require relocation to other planets.
The tech mogul also addressed questions on artificial intelligence (AI) and his business, XAI. Criticizing both OpenAI and Google’s Gemini, Musk remarked, “It’s important that AI is trained to be truthful and not to be politically correct. Political correctness is often simply not true, and that means you’re programming AI to lie, and I think that will backfire very badly. Honesty is the best policy.”
He expressed high hopes for his open-source GrokAI chatbot, aiming for it to be rigorous in its pursuit of truth and humor. “If we are going to die, we might as well die laughing,” Musk quipped. Nonetheless, he acknowledged that GrokAI still had significant progress to make before competing with OpenAI or Gemini, a milestone he believes is achievable by the end of the year.
Musk’s remarks, as reported by Euronews, have once again highlighted his unique blend of visionary thinking and playful eccentricity, capturing the world’s attention and imagination.
