Fatal Accident in Gorkha Claims One Life

A tragic incident unfolded in Sahid Lakhan-3, Ghorswaran, Gorkha on Saturday afternoon as a Scorpio jeep mishap resulted in the loss of one life.

Reported by the District Police Office, Gorkha, the accident involved a Scorpio with registration number Ga1 Cha 7619, which was traveling towards Manakamana from Nawalparasi East.

The victim, identified as Shobhakar Gaire, aged 45, from Binay Triveni Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi East, succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the accident. He was undergoing treatment at the Tanahun-based Aanbukhairini Hospital.

According to authorities, the incident occurred when the Scorpio lost control while navigating a steep road, ultimately overturning into a drain beside the road.

The driver of the Scorpio, Begbahadur Kshetri, aged 47, has been apprehended by the police and is currently in custody.
