Financial Assistance for Family Losing Member in Foreign Job

A family from Dhitung in Tuwachung Municipality-8, who lost a member in a road accident in Dubai, UAE, has received financial assistance. Dipak Budhathoki, 30, tragically died on March 20 this year while working abroad. His family was provided with Rs 750,000 in aid.

Dipak is survived by his wife, Saraswati, and two sons, nine-year-old Dishan and an infant named Ishan. To secure the future of the children, separate bank accounts were opened in their names, with Rs 300,000 deposited into each account. Additionally, Rs 50,000 was given to Saraswati and Dipak’s parents.

The financial aid was coordinated by Ganesh Bahadur Karki, a local from Dhitung and a Nayabsubba (assistant subba), who mobilized contributions from Nepalis living both domestically and abroad.

On Monday, the funds were handed over to the bereaved family by lawmaker Ram Kumar Rai ‘Pasang’.
