Fire Breaks Out in Chinese National’s Luggage at TIA

In a brief yet concerning incident on Sunday morning, a fire ignited in the passenger waiting hall of Tribhuvan International Airport. The incident was linked to the luggage of a Chinese national who was awaiting departure to China.
The fire reportedly originated from a laptop and a power bank within the Chinese passenger’s luggage. Swift action by airport authorities and staff led to the immediate extinguishing of the flames, preventing any escalation of the situation.
No injuries were reported, and normal airport operations resumed promptly after the incident.
