Flights Disrupted at TIA Due to Low Visibility

Flights at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) were disrupted on Wednesday due to low visibility caused by adverse weather conditions.
Rinji Sherpa, spokesperson at the TIA Office, reported that a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Kathmandu was diverted to Kolkata. Similarly, Kathmandu-bound planes from Malaysia operated by Nepal Airlines and an Air China flight were also redirected. Sichuan Airlines cancelled one of its scheduled flights due to the poor weather.
Domestic flights were significantly affected, with cancellations on routes including Kathmandu-Pokhara, Kathmandu-Bharatpur, Kathmandu-Nepalgunj, Kathmandu-Rajbiraj, Kathmandu-Biratnagar, Kathmandu-Janakpur, Kathmandu-Bhadrapur, and Kathmandu-Bhairahawa.
Additionally, most flights experienced delays. However, Sherpa confirmed that operations resumed normally from the afternoon as weather conditions improved.
