Former Minister Rayamajhi’s Home Searched by Police

In a dramatic turn of events, the District Police Complex Kathmandu has executed a search warrant at the residence of former minister and CPN-UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who is accused of being involved in a fraudulent business of creating Bhutanese refugees and sending them to America. However, despite a thorough search of his Satdobato residence, Rayamajhi remained elusive and could not be located.

The police had issued an arrest warrant against Rayamajhi and his son Sandeep on May 3, following which Sandeep was apprehended. However, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been evading the police and reportedly fled to Bhairawa via Arghakhanchi, where he has remained uncontactable.

Rayamajhi and his son have been accused of high-level involvement in the fraudulent business of creating Bhutanese refugees, with eight individuals already arrested in connection with the case. Some of those arrested have implicated Congress leaders and high-level employees, including Rayamajhi himself.

The case has sent shockwaves across the country, with people expressing their outrage and concern over the exploitation of refugees and the involvement of high-ranking officials.
