Former Porn Star Mia Khalifa Fired from Job for Pro-Palestine Stance in Israel-Hamas War

Mia Khalifa, the former adult film star turned social media personality, has been terminated from her advisory role at Red Light Holland, a company involved in the production and sale of functional mushrooms and mushroom home grow kits in North America and Europe. Khalifa’s dismissal came after she posted controversial messages on social media regarding the Israel vs. Hamas conflict.

In her tweets, Khalifa expressed her support for Palestine following Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel. She received backlash for her remarks, including comments like, “Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal,” and, “I can’t believe the Zionist apartheid regime is being brought down by guerrilla fighters in fake Gucci shirts.”

Red Light Holland CEO Todd Shapiro publicly condemned Khalifa’s posts, calling them “horrendous” and “disgusting.” He announced her immediate termination, stating, “Consider yourself fired effective immediately. Simply disgusting. Beyond disgusting.” Shapiro emphasized the need for unity and empathy during times of tragedy.

Khalifa responded to her firing on social media, stating, “I’d say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I’m more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists. My bad.” She continued by criticizing Red Light Holland, saying, “That’s the most press you’ll ever get out of me for your s****y little company you quite literally couldn’t pay me to post about it publicly before because I thought it was so bad. It’s FREE PALESTINE until Palestine is FREE.”
