Former Prime Minister Bhattarai leaving for India today
Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, is set to embark on a seven-day visit to India today. During his visit, Dr. Bhattarai has a packed agenda aimed at strengthening ties between Nepal and India.
His itinerary includes discussions and interactions with the Nepali community residing in India, where he will also deliver lectures on Nepal’s economic development. Dr. Bhattarai is keen on engaging with the diaspora to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment in Nepal.
Additionally, Dr. Bhattarai will hold meetings with intellectuals and civil society leaders well-versed in Nepal-India relations. These meetings are expected to foster better understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
The visit will take Dr. Bhattarai to various Indian cities, with a special focus on Goa, Karnataka, New Delhi, and Chandigarh. These locations have been chosen strategically to maximize the impact of his engagements.
Dr. Baburam Bhattarai’s visit to India is anticipated to enhance bilateral ties and promote greater cooperation between Nepal and its southern neighbor. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on September 22 after completing his comprehensive itinerary in India.
