Fulfilling Development Aspirations Is True Tribute to Martyrs: President Paudel

President Ramchandra Paudel has emphasized that striving for development and prosperity is the most meaningful way to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs.

In his message on the occasion of Martyrs Day, the President stated that achieving sustainable peace, good governance, and national progress through the federal democratic republican system is the true tribute to those who laid down their lives for the country. He underscored the need for collective effort in realizing the dreams of the martyrs, who fought for civic freedom, democracy, and national sovereignty.

“On this Martyrs Day, I extend my heartfelt tribute to all known and unknown martyrs, including Shukraraj Shastri, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Dashrath Chand, and Gangalal Shrestha, who sacrificed their lives for democracy and national integrity,” President Paudel said.

He highlighted that Martyrs Day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made in the struggles against the Rana regime, the Panchayat system, and monarchy to establish a sovereign democratic Nepal. He urged all political parties and citizens to dedicate themselves to upholding the values of independence and democracy.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, in his own message, stressed that the courage of the martyrs should serve as an inspiration for building a prosperous and self-reliant nation. He paid tribute to those who fought for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inclusivity, urging citizens to work together in strengthening national unity and development.

On this occasion, Vice President Yadav called for collective efforts to ensure economic and social progress, reinforcing the ideals of the martyrs in shaping Nepal’s future.
