Govt recommends President to summon federal parliament’s meeting on February 5

The Council of Ministers convened at Singha Durbar has recommended to the President to summon a meeting of the federal parliament on February 5. Minister for Information and Communications, Rekha Sharma, who is also the government’s spokesperson, announced the decision today.

The meeting, scheduled for 4:00 pm on February 5, will address important matters on the national agenda. Additionally, a team is set to be formed to engage in discussions with the government of Japan, with the aim of finalizing a draft agreement for a concessional loan amounting to over Rs 31.02 billion. This loan is intended for the implementation of the Koteshwor Intersection Improvement Project.

Furthermore, the cabinet has nominated Dr. Ashim Bhandari as the coordinator of the National Anti-Doping Agency, in accordance with the National Sports Development Regulations-2079 BS. These decisions mark key steps in addressing both domestic and international matters for the government.
