15th Jun 2024
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the Kathmandu Valley will experience relief from the recent heat later this evening, as temperatures have slightly decreased today.
Meteorologist Saroj Pudashaini mentioned that the Kathmandu Valley is currently experiencing the typical effects of the monsoon, resulting in light rainfall during the afternoon. A thundershower is expected tonight.
Pudashaini clarified that while the monsoon is progressing westward from the east, it should be regarded as a pre-monsoon phase at this point.
Pudashaini also stated that this afternoon will be cooler compared to yesterday, with maximum temperatures ranging between 29°C to 31°C today, whereas it reached 33.4°C on Friday.
