Heavy Rainfall Predicted in Some Provinces
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted generally to fully cloudy weather in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with partial to general cloudiness in the rest of Nepal. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places across Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and isolated locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.
This afternoon, the entire country is predicted to experience generally to fully cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in parts of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at isolated places in Madhes and Bagmati provinces. Heavy rainfall is expected in one or two locations within Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, hilly regions including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will be generally to fully cloudy, while the rest of the country will be partly to generally cloudy. Heavy rainfall is predicted in one or two areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated at various locations in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces over the next 24 hours.
Given the forecast of heavy rainfall, the Department has advised the public to remain alert as it could impact daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, and road and air transport in the affected regions.
