HoR Infrastructure Development Committee President Donates One-Year Remuneration to Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology
Deepak Bahadur Singh, President of the House of Representatives (HoR) Infrastructure Development Committee, has generously donated his one-year remuneration to the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in Kathmandu. During a program in Hetauda on Tuesday, Singh handed over a cheque totaling Rs 999,999 to the Institute’s Executive Director, Dr. Sanduk Ruit.
Parliamentary member Singh, who represents Makwanpur constituency 1, stated that he made this donation as per his pledge during the parliamentary election to support social organizations. He also committed to continue donating his parliamentary remuneration in the future.
Dr. Ruit expressed his gratitude, noting that the donation would be used for constructing a building in Hetauda sub-metropolis-3, Basamadi, dedicated to manufacturing eye lenses. He emphasized that the facility would aim to provide life-changing eye surgery and treatment to disadvantaged and marginalized communities across all seven provinces of Nepal.
