Ilam to RSP: ‘Better Luck Next Time’, Milan Limbu Trails Behind Even Independent Candidate!

In a rather amusing turn of events in Ilam constituency-2, Milan Kumar Yonghang Limbu of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) appears to have been left in the electoral dust, securing a paltry 1,945 votes out of 34,026 valid ballots cast. Yes, you read that right – the candidate from the party that boasts of a new approach to politics is trailing spectacularly.

While Limbu has been busy pitching his vision of a “prosperous Nepal,” voters seem to have other plans, favoring literally anyone else. Notably, even Dekendra Singh Limbu Thegim, a mere independent candidate, has gathered an impressive 8,285 votes, leaving RSP’s hopeful in a distant echo of the competition.

At the forefront, CPN-UML’s Suhang Nembang is leading with a commanding 13,900 votes, followed closely by Nepali Congress’s Dambar Bahadur Khadka who has bagged 8,914 votes.

It seems like the people of Ilam have spoken, and they’re not whispering. They are shouting, loud and clear, that the fourth largest party in the lower house needs to rethink its strategy or continue to enjoy the view from the bottom.
