India’s EAM Jaishankar Returns After Concluding Two-Day Visit to Nepal
S. Jaishankar, the Minister of External Affairs of India, has successfully concluded his two-day visit to Nepal, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and fostering regional cooperation. The visit revolved around the seventh meeting of the Nepal-India Foreign Minister-level Joint Commission.
Upon his departure from Tribhuvan International Airport, Jaishankar was bid farewell by prominent Nepali officials, including Foreign Minister NP Saud and Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, signifying the warmth and camaraderie shared between the two nations.
During his stay in Kathmandu, Minister Jaishankar engaged in high-level talks with key Nepalese dignitaries, further solidifying diplomatic relations. Among the notable figures he met were President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, CPN Unified Socialists Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, LSP Chairman Mahanta Thakur, and Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut.
The visit showcased India’s commitment to maintaining robust ties with its neighboring nation and fostering collaboration on various fronts. Jaishankar’s discussions covered a wide range of issues, including economic cooperation, trade, and regional security, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the bilateral relationship.
Minister Jaishankar’s arrival in Kathmandu on Thursday morning marked the beginning of a diplomatic mission focused on enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation.
