inDrive Retains Global Dominance as Second Most Downloaded Ride-Hailing App
inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has retained its title as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for the second consecutive year in 2023, according to data.ai. The platform, operational in 46 countries, also secured the fourth position globally in the Travel category, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
The inDrive app witnessed a staggering total of 66.6 million downloads in 2023, based on data from Google Play and App Store (iOS only in China). The platform’s sustained success is attributed to its expansion into new services, including freight and courier delivery, alongside the continuous geographical expansion of its core ridesharing offerings.
Founded in 2022, inDrive has rapidly become a popular ride-sharing service in Nepal, exemplifying its commitment to creating affordable transportation options and fair earning opportunities for drivers globally. In 2023, the platform extended its services to new locations, including the vibrant Miami and South Florida region in the United States.
InDrive’s unique peer-to-peer pricing model has contributed to its rapid scaling, allowing the company to maintain its position as a global industry leader. Arsen Tomsky, the founder and CEO of inDrive, expressed his delight at the achievement, stating, “We are delighted that inDrive has maintained its position as the second most downloaded ride-hailing app globally, a testament to the incredible efforts of our team and the trust our users place in us.”
In addition to its success in the global market, inDrive was named the most downloaded ride-hailing app in 13 countries, including notable markets such as Pakistan, Colombia, Egypt, Peru, and Morocco, showcasing its widespread popularity and impact.
Tomsky emphasized the company’s commitment to challenging social injustice, providing reliable mobility services at a fair price, and creating meaningful earning opportunities for communities worldwide. Notably, inDrive has taken a proactive step towards environmental sustainability by introducing electric motorcycles into its fleet across various regions, contributing to the reduction of emissions.
As inDrive celebrates this remarkable milestone, Tomsky reiterated that the company’s success is not merely measured by the number of downloads but by the broader positive impact it makes on communities and the world. The platform’s continuous growth and commitment to its mission signal a promising future in the dynamic landscape of global mobility and urban services.
