Integrity imperative in Pashupati area: Minister Pande
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pande, has urged the employees of Pashupti Area Development Trust (PADT) to work with utmost integrity.
Also the Chairman of PADT, Minister Pande reminded the PADT employees that any work carried out in this holy area must not be go beyond culture and discipline.
“The works here differ from the works elsewhere. Morality and honesty must be reflected in performance. Transparency in any work is essential so that this religious site and institution always retain faith, trust and honour,” he reminded.
He further viewed the activities conducted by PADT can bolster its spiritual image. The Pashupatinath is the centre of faith for Vedic Hindu people from across the world.
Similarly, Joint Secretary at Ministry, Hemraj Tamang, viewed tens of millions of devotees from across the globe visit the Pashupatinath Temple every year. So, its proper preservation is must. The government is ready to cooperate with PADT to this regard, he vowed.
PADT Member Secretary, Dr Milan Kumar Thapa, however, shared the plight that when they try new initiative, they face complaints.
Dr Thapa complained that PADT was still facing a short supply of human resources. He informed the Minister about PADT activities.
Spokesperson of PADT, Rewati Raman Adhikari, made an introductory presentation of the Trust.
