International People’s Assembly held in Nepal

An International People’s Assembly including representatives of communist and left-wing parties from Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, China, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Bangladesh, Italy, Spain and other countries has been held in Nepal from February 1 to 5.
Representatives of communist, revolutionary, left-wing and socialist parties of various countries met with the Prime Minister after the International People’s Assembly held in Nepal.
Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the true communists of Nepal will come back to the process of polarization and unity. The Prime Minister said this in a meeting with representatives of communist, left wing and socialist parties of various countries on Sunday evening.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal said that Nepal’s communist movement has progressed amid ups and downs and said that he is taking initiatives for the unity of true communists.
They met with the Prime Minister after the international public meeting held in Nepal by the representatives of communist, revolutionary, left-wing and socialist parties from different countries from February 1st to 5th.
On that occasion, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that Nepal’s revolution and peace process are new and original for the world and said that the new constitution created by the people’s representatives has addressed the important tasks of the revolution.
Emphasizing the global importance of the revolution and peace process in Nepal, he informed that the government under his leadership is trying to meet the expectations of the people.
Prime Minister Dahal, remembering that Nepal’s communists have become a single center on his own initiative, promised to make continuous efforts to integrate the communist movement, prepare the basis of socialism and address people’s expectations.
He also mentioned that he has got a historic opportunity to lead the transformational movement of Nepal and that this will be an inspiration for the pro-change forces around the world.
Representatives of Communist and Left Party from Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, China, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Bangladesh, Italy, Spain and other countries were present at the meeting.
