Irish climber Noel Hanna died on Annapurna I, Indian climber Baljeet Kaur found alive
Irish climber and adventurer Noel Hanna died on Annapurna I during his descent on Tuesday.
On Monday, Hanna reached the summit of Annapurna, the 10th-highest mountain in the world and breathed his last near camp 4.
However, an Indian woman climber, Baljeet Kaur who went missing above Camp IV on Mt Annapurna, has been found alive.
An aerial search team has located Baljeet Kaur, who scaled the world’s tenth-highest peak without using supplemental oxygen yesterday, above Camp IV.
Meanwhile, efforts are still underway to recover the body of legendary climber Noel Hanna, 10-time Everest summiteer from Northern Ireland, who breathed his last at Camp IV after he returned from the summit point last night.
Da Chhiri Sherpa, Lhakpa Tendi Sherpa and Lhapta Rita Sherpa died on Everest on April 12 after falling into a crevasse after a serac collapse triggered an avalanche in Khumbu Icefall.
