Irregularities in Pashupatinath properties rise: Lawmaker Ale

CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Prem Bahadur Ale has claimed that irregularities in Pashupatinath had increased and such illegal activities took place by cutting wires of CCTV cameras installed in the area.

The former Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has accused the sitting Culture Minister Sudan Kirati of trying to protecting such irregularities instead of launching investigation and taking action against those involved in it.

Taking part in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, he expressed his concerns about the “government’s failure” to take action against involvements in irregularities in the Pashupati Area Development Trust and the Pashupatinath Temple. He demanded action against those who committed irregularities in Pashupatinath by cutting CCTV camera wires.

He also blamed embezzlement in public land at Gothatar. Out of the total 535 ropanis of land at Gothatar, 31 ropanis has been misappropriated in collusion with middle-persons.

The Ministry’s permission granted to construct a helipad in Kavrepalanchok district is against the constitution, he charged.
