
Ishwari Devi Neupane Elected Unopposed as President of Parliamentary Hearing Committee


Ishwari Devi Neupane, a lawmaker from the Nepali Congress, has been elected unopposed as the President of the Federal Parliament’s Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC). The election was held during a meeting of the PHC today.
During the meeting, the senior-most member of the Committee, Pashupati Shumsher JBR, announced Neupane’s election as the sole candidate for the post. He also extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly-elected PHC President.
Neupane is set to take the oath of office before Speaker Devraj Ghimire this evening, marking the beginning of her tenure as the head of the PHC.
