Italian Vincenzo Alberto Annese appointed head coach of Nepali national football team

Italian Vincenzo Alberto Annese has been appointed as the head coach of Nepal national men’s football team.

The fourth Executive Committee meeting of ANFA on Wednesday appointed Annese to the post.

ANFA had invited application for the head coach position and received a total of 168 applications. The Recruitment Committee had shortlisted 20 applicants.

Italian Annese holds the UEFA Pro License certificate and was the head coach of North East United in the Indian Super League. He also guided Gokulam Kerala FC to two league titles.

The 38 year old was also the head coach of Belize national football team for a year in 2019. Annese is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, Russian and Indonesian.

The post had been lying vacant since Abudullah Almutairi of Qatar tendered his resignation on September 11 last year.
