Lets make Former King Gyanendra as the Head of State, RPP Senior Vice President says
Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra has suggested that former King Gyanendra Shah should be promoted as the future head of the state.
Mishra’s suggestion came at the time when Nepal’s political leaders are endeavoring to forge consensus on a common candidate for the post of the country’s President.
Saying that names ranging from ‘Holy Wine’ to ‘Foreign Agent’ are being discussed for the president, Mishra suggested that instead ‘former King’ should be given the role of the head of state.
Writing a status on social media, Leader Mishra said that although the President is said to be a position above politics, the role of the President has always been partisan in Nepal .
All institutions of the country except the army have been eroded, religion and culture have been attacked and the country is in the grip of international geopolitics, Mishra in the status says.
“Why not to promote former King Gyanendra as the ‘President of the Nation’ when the country is constantly becoming weak, infamous and prone to crisis?”, says Mishra .
Mishra also said that the former king should be given a chance to correct a mistake.
