Madhes Province Chief Minister Makes Surprise Visit to Janakpur Province Hospital

Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Satish Kumar Singh, made an unannounced visit to the Province Hospital in Janakpur late Saturday night, following public complaints about delayed care and negligence in treatment.
Arriving at the hospital around 11:00 pm, Chief Minister Singh inspected the emergency ward, maternity chamber, and ICU. He engaged with on-duty doctors, health professionals, and employees to assess staffing levels, responsibility allocations, and duty hours.
During his visit, Singh urged hospital staff to maintain punctuality, fulfill their full duty hours, and ensure prompt, high-quality patient care. He also directed the government-run pharmacies on the hospital premises to maintain adequate stocks of essential medicines.
Visitors at the hospital raised concerns about insufficient staffing during night shifts, inadequate medical care, and a shortage of medicines. The Chief Minister instructed Binod Kumar Yadav, Registrar of the Madhes Institute of Health Sciences, who was present at the time, to take immediate action to address these issues. Singh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving service quality and addressing the public’s concerns.
