Man Arrested in Dang for Brutal Murder of Wife

Penduwa Chaudhary (43), a resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-4, has been apprehended by the police on charges of brutally murdering his 42-year-old wife, Lakshmi Chaudhary. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday when Penduwa, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked his wife with an iron rod, resulting in her immediate demise.

Police Inspector Navaratna Malla of the Tulsipur Area Police Office provided details of the incident, stating that Laxmi Chaudhary succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crime. The shocking incident took place within their residence, leaving the community in shock.

In a further distressing turn of events, two neighbors, identified as Meena Thapa and Sheela Chowdhury, also suffered injuries as they attempted to intervene and inquire about the incident. Penduwa, in an agitated state, attacked both neighbors with the same iron rod. The injured neighbors are currently receiving medical treatment at Rapti Regional Hospital in Tulsipur.

Ward Chairman of Tulsipur-4, Tulsi Thapa, provided an update on the health of the injured neighbors, stating that both Meena Thapa and Sheela Chowdhury are in stable condition.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, and Penduwa Chaudhary will face legal proceedings for the alleged murder of his wife and the assault on the neighbors.
