Manang Sees Remarkable Increase in Tourist Arrivals, French Lead the Way

The picturesque Himalayan district of Manang is attracting more international tourists, with recent data showing a surge in the number of visitors, particularly from France. According to the Annapurna Area Conservation Project, a total of 21,495 tourists visited the region between mid-February and mid-April of 2080 BS.

Foreign tourists are drawn to Manang’s challenging treks, including the world-renowned 10th most perilous trek and the captivating Manaslu trek. Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, head of the Annapurna Area Conservation Project, highlighted the district’s growing popularity, especially among French travelers, with a reported 2,482 visitors from France alone this year.

The region also welcomed significant numbers of tourists from other countries, with 1,821 Israelis and 1,754 Germans exploring Manang’s natural beauty. This influx underscores Manang’s appeal as a top destination for adventure seekers worldwide.
