Maoist Center Takes Disciplinary Action Against 50 Leaders
The central committee meeting of the ruling CPN-Maoist Center has taken disciplinary action against 50 leaders for their failure to adhere to the party’s directives and lack of commitment to party activities.
The decision, which was made during the party’s central committee meeting held in Kathmandu, was confirmed by Harka Bahadur Nembang, the Maoist Center’s provincial chairman. Nembang stated that the disciplinary measures were aimed at individuals who did not actively participate in the transformation campaign in Koshi province.
Furthermore, Nembang highlighted the party’s renewal process, which saw the enrollment of 75,000 new members, indicating a significant shift within the party’s dynamics.
Chakrapani Khanal, who serves as the in-charge of Koshi province, addressed concerns within the party organization regarding the renaming of the province. He reported that the renaming had sparked challenges within the party, as discussed during the central committee meeting.
