
Maoist Centre directs to give trust vote to Sudurpaschim CM Shah

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the Sudurpaschim provincial assembly party to vote in a favour of a trust motion of Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah.
Khagraj Bhatta, the Parliamentary Party leader the CPN (Maoist Center) Sudurpaschim Province said that it has been directed from center to give a vote of confidence.
An earlier meeting of the provincial assembly party had decided not to give the vote of confidence, citing it has not received a clear direction from the central leadership.
A meeting provincial assembly is going to start soon as it was slated for 1pm today. Chief Minister Shah will take a floor test at the meeting of the provincial assembly.
Earlier, Rajendra Singh Rawal, who became the Chief Minister from CPN-UML, was relieved of his post after failing to get the vote of confidence. After that, Shah of the Congress was appointed the Chief Minister on February 9. CPN-UML has already decided not to give a vote of confidence to Shah.
At least 27 votes are needed to secure a majority. In the 53-member assembly, Nepali Congress has 19 members, the Maoist Centre 10, the Nagarik Unmukti Party seven and the Unified Socialist three members. One independent member has also supported the government.
