Maya Luhar murder case: Accused APF constable nabbed from Mahendranagar
An Armed Police Force (APF) constable, who is accused of murdering a woman, has been arrested by Police.
Bharatram Koli, who is accused of murdering 21-year-old Maya Luhar of Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-4, Baitadi has been arrested on Sunday.
Police Inspector Pushkar Panta of District Police Office Kanchanpur informed that constable Koli, whose house is Shivanath Rural Municipality-4, was arrested from Mahendranagar Buspark.
Preparations are being made to send Koli to the Baitadi District Police Office.
Luhar was murdered using a sharp weapon at Baladanga, Shivanath rural municipality-6 of the Baitadi district on Sudurpaschim.
Koli, 22, was working in a Pokhara-based APF unit. Maya, who had gone with her niece Neha to sew clothes from home, was strangled to death in Shivanath Rural Municipality on 29 November.
Neha was found injured on the second day. She is being treated at Dadeldhura Hospital. Maya’s brother has filed a complaint against Koli for murder. The police had been searching for him for five days.
Further investigation is going on.
