Ministry warns of action against health facilities running illegally
The Ministry of Health and Population has warned of action against the health institutions which are fleecing service seekers.
Those conducting health services against rule will be booked, it said. Issuing a press statement, Undersecretary at the Ministry, Ekdev Khanal, viewed the health facilities which have failed to meet criteria and not taken permission would be taken action based on the complaints lodged by the service seekers.
“Rule 12 (2) of Public Health Regulation, 2077 will be invoked to take punitive measures against the health facilities if they are run without taking permission. Whether they are run privately or based on charity, they must not go beyond the rule,” Khanal reminded, adding that some health facilities as autism therapy centre, child clinic were reported running illegally.
