The Kathmandu Valley officially bid farewell to the monsoon season on Tuesday, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The Division confirmed that the monsoon has retreated from all areas of Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as the Kathmandu Valley.
Additionally, parts of the western regions of Bagmati and Madhesh Provinces have also seen the end of the monsoon. However, meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane noted that monsoon winds are still affecting Koshi Province and the eastern regions of Bagmati and Madhesh Provinces.
Meanwhile, westerly winds continue to influence the weather in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and the western areas of Bagmati and Madhesh Provinces.
