Monsoon Winds Affecting Nepal: Light to Moderate Rainfall Expected Across the Country
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the monsoon winds are currently affecting various regions across Nepal, with the low-pressure line of the monsoon remaining near its average position.
As of now, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Department forecasts generally to partly cloudy conditions across the country this afternoon, with a likelihood of light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activity in all provinces.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is expected in isolated areas across all provinces, while heavy rainfall is anticipated in a few locations within Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The Department has advised residents in these areas to exercise caution.
Tonight, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain is forecasted for some regions in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with heavy rain predicted in isolated locations of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
