MP Rana files complaint against ‘fake audio’

Central Member of Nepali Congress and Member of Parliament Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has called for an investigation into the audio allegedly made public attaching it to her name in relation to the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.

Describing it as a fake audio, she has registered an application at the Nepal Police, Cyber Bureau today seeking an investigation and action against the guilty.

She has said the fake audio disseminated by some media and social networks was recorded in a pre-planned manner with the intention of defaming her.

The truth about the audio should be made public immediately using the latest technology, and action should be taken against the culprits as per the law, she said.
