NA Chair Timilsina Gives Away Pakistan Embassy Scholarships

The Chairman of the National Assembly of Nepal, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, presented the prestigious “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to 198 bright and deserving Nepali students.

The 11th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremonies, organized by the Embassy of Pakistan, took place today at the exquisite Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu.

The scholarships, a testament to the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Nepal, were awarded to students from government schools across the country. These exceptional young minds were carefully selected by their Principals based on their academic achievements and potential. This year, 43 schools participated, and each recipient received a cash prize along with a brand-new laptop to aid them in their educational pursuits.

Speaking at the occasion, NA Chairman Timilsina lauded Pakistan for its continued support and advancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts which, he said, had gone a long way in bringing the youth of the two countries closer.

Similarly, addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Abrar H Hashmi, shared his commitment to expanding the scholarship program and further strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. He emphasized that the encouragement of Nepalese youth in studies, sports, and healthy social activities forms the cornerstone of their cooperation. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to all the participants and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to supporting the educational aspirations of Nepali students.

The Ambassador of Pakistan scholarship program, which commenced in 2013, has steadily grown over the years and has become immensely popular among Nepali youth. Its success lies in its ability to empower talented individuals, providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities to excel academically.
