Narayangarh-Muglin road: Setidobhan bridge comes into operation

A bridge constructed over the Setidobhan along the Narayangarh-Muglin road has come into operation. The Setidobhan bridge among 15 other under-construction bridges has been brought to operation.

With the 65-meter bridge coming into use, the Narayangarh-Muglin road distance has been reduced by 100 meters.

Chief of Narayangarh-Muglin Road Project Kiran Karki shared that the bridge has come into operation two years after its construction started.

It has also averted compulsion to slow down vehicular speed along the Setidobhan road section with turns and twists.

Karki further informed that Lamo Baluwa, Dumre, Rigdi and Simaltal bridges will also come into operation within this month. According to him, the finishing works are being carried out on the bridges.

The construction of 15 bridges had started three years aback at the cost of Rs 1.27 billion. The contract for the bridge construction was awarded to Janak Construction. The extended deadline for the construction is expiring in mid-December 2023.

Other eight bridges being constructed will come into operation around October-November this year.

Daily 10,000 plus vehicles ply through the Narayangarh-Muglin road section.
