‘Nearly One Year as Foreign Minister Satisfying,’ Saud Vows Continued Advocacy for Nepali Welfare
Due to a shift in the power coalition in Nepal, NP Saud, the Foreign Minister, has lost his position. As the coalition between the Nepali Congress and the Maoist Centre crumbled, Saud has become the former minister and has been relegated to the role of a Nepali Congress lawmaker.
NP Saud, who had been serving as the Foreign Minister for nearly a year, expressed his gratitude to various stakeholders for their support during his tenure.
Taking to the social media platform X, Saud remarked, “Nearly one year in the government as the country’s Foreign Minister remained a satisfying experience. In accomplishing this important responsibility, I received support and cooperation from political leadership, civil servants, diplomatic community, media fraternity and all fellow countrymen, for which I am grateful to all of them.”
Despite the setback, Saud remains optimistic about the progress made during his tenure, particularly on issues concerning Nepalis involved in conflict zones. He expressed hope for positive outcomes in the near future.
Saud also emphasized his commitment to serving the nation, affirming that his efforts to promote Nepal’s interests, enhance its global image, and ensure the welfare of Nepali citizens residing abroad will persist in his new role as a lawmaker within the Nepali Congress.
