Nepal Airlines Dispatches Flight to Bring Home Deceased Nepalis from Israel
Nepal Airlines (NA) is set to deploy an aircraft to Israel, scheduled for takeoff at 11:00 tonight, with the solemn mission of repatriating the deceased bodies of Nepali nationals.
Deepak Joshi, personal aide to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Prasad Saud, confirmed that the national flag carrier will make its way to Israel through Dubai to fulfill this solemn task.
This somber mission is in response to the tragic incident involving ten Nepali students who lost their lives during a terrorist attack at Kibbutz Alumim, located in the southern region of Israel, on October 7. These students had been in Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ program.
Additionally, an ongoing search operation is being conducted for Bipin Joshi, a Nepali national missing since the incident. The Nepali Embassy in Israel has been diligently pursuing the search efforts, scouring various hospitals through a student who had been residing with Bipin. This student was safely rescued after the tragic attack.
The Nepali diplomatic mission in Israel communicated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, informing them that Bipin remained unaccounted for during searches at various medical facilities. The Nepali Embassy in Israel has reached out to Israeli authorities, soliciting their support and cooperation in the ongoing search efforts.
