Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, held discussions with India’s Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, on Monday in New Delhi. The meeting addressed several bilateral energy projects, including the construction of the Siliguri-Jhapa petroleum pipeline.

Discussions also included the expansion of the Amalekhgunj-Chitwan petroleum pipeline, a gas pipeline in Sarlahi, and the relocation of the Tribhuvan International Airport’s petroleum depot.
Minister Puri assured that India is prepared to extend support once the integrated report from Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is finalized.
Both ministers agreed to ensure the regular convening of bilateral government mechanisms to facilitate effective collaboration. Minister Puri reiterated India’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s socio-economic development.
