Nepal Clinches Victory over Namibia in Tri-Nations T20I
At the ongoing tri-nations T20I series in Kathmandu, Nepal emerged triumphant against Namibia by a narrow margin of three runs in the fourth match.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Namibia managed to contain Nepal to 180 runs, conceding eight wickets in the process. However, their batting lineup couldn’t quite match the target, falling short at 177 runs, losing seven wickets.
Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee starred for Nepal, claiming two wickets each. Meanwhile, Namibia’s JJ Smit shone with a half-century, supported by Jan Frylinck and Jean-Pierre Kotze.
Ben Shikongo led Namibia’s bowling attack with three crucial wickets, with support from Jack Brussell, Nicol Loftie-Eaton, and Bernard Scholtz.
Kushal Malla stole the show with the bat for Nepal, scoring a vital half-century with 55 runs. Aarif Sheikh, Gulsan Jha, and Anil Kumar Shah also made significant contributions to Nepal’s total.
