Nepal Police Headquarters Issues Notice for 16 Absent Policemen

The Nepal Police Headquarters has issued a public notice calling for 16 policemen, who have been voluntarily absent from duty since Falgun, to present themselves. The notice, released on Monday, lists the names and positions of these individuals, including a technical police sub-inspector, two assistant head constables, a police constable, and an office assistant.

Authorities report that some of the missing personnel have been absent since early Falgun, while others have not been in contact since the month’s end. Despite efforts to locate them, the police have not been able to establish communication.

The absent policemen have been given a seven-day deadline, excluding the day of notice publication, to report back to the headquarters with an explanation for their absence. Failure to comply with this directive could lead to their removal from service, as per the police regulations.
