Nepal Telecommunications Authority Revokes Licenses of Three Internet Service Providers
The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has taken decisive action by invalidating the licenses of three prominent internet service providers. The affected companies include United Telecom Limited in Putalisadak, Max Net Solution Pvt. Ltd. in Koteshwor, and Chitwan Network Pvt. Ltd.
NTA Director and spokesperson, Santosh Paudel, revealed that the licenses were annulled due to the companies’ failure to renew them in a timely manner. These providers neglected to submit the necessary applications for the renewal process, leading to the enforcement of the NTA’s decision.
Paudel further emphasized that other internet service providers must promptly initiate the renewal process by making the required payments and submitting necessary details within the stipulated 30-day period. The NTA has issued a stern warning, cautioning that failure to comply with the directive will result in legal consequences in accordance with existing laws.
