Nepali and British Climber Reported Missing While Descending Mount Everest

Two climbers have been reported missing while descending from Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak. The missing individuals have been identified as Tenji Sherpa, a 21-year-old Nepali from Makalu rural municipality-2 of Sankhuwasabha District, and 40-year-old Daniel Paul Peterson, a British citizen.

According to official reports from the Tourism Department, the climbers went missing during their descent from the Everest peak on Tuesday. The incident occurred near the ‘South Summit’ at an altitude of 8,750 meters, with both individuals disappearing after slipping during their descent. Notably, both climbers had successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest on the morning of May 21 before encountering difficulties on their way down.

Six experienced mountain guides have been deployed to assist in the search for the missing climbers. Additionally, the tourism department has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating the missing individuals.
