Nepali Congress Expresses Dissatisfaction with Prime Minister’s Response in HoR Meeting
In a recent session of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ramesh Lekhak, the chief whip of the Nepali Congress (NC), voiced strong dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s response concerning Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane’s involvement in a cooperative case.
Lekhak, representing the NC, expressed his dismay over the Prime Minister’s response, stating that it lacked clarity and failed to address the concerns raised regarding Lamichhane’s actions.
“There is a pattern of resignation when moral questions arise concerning a minister’s character,” Lekhak pointed out, highlighting past instances where ministers resigned amidst allegations. He questioned why the Home Minister has not taken similar action.
The NC Chief Whip emphasized that the Prime Minister had received numerous complaints from victims in Pokhara regarding Rabi Lamichhane’s involvement in a cooperative fraud case.
“Did you not meet with the victims of the cooperative fraud during your visit to Pokhara?” Lekhak directly questioned the Prime Minister, indicating the need for accountability and action in light of the serious allegations.
